This service is run by the Gambling Commission. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this service. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the service using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the service using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the service using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver).
If you have a disability, AbilityNet (opens in new tab) has advice on making your device easier to use.
How accessible this service is
We know some parts of this service aren’t fully accessible. For example:
- some pages contain radio components that do not always notify users when a conditionally revealed question is shown or hidden.
Feedback and contact information
If you need information on this service in a different format like accessible PDF, large print, easy read, audio recording or braille, you can request content in a different format (opens in a new tab).

Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the ‘accessibility regulations’). The Gambling Commission is committed to making this service accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
This service is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 (opens in new tab) AA standard.
Non-accessible content
The content listed as follows is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
- Some pages contain radio components that conditionally reveal a related question. This means that screen reader users may not always be notified when a conditionally revealed question is shown or hidden. This fails WCAG version 2.1 success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value).
How we tested this service
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 level A and level AA to test how accessible gamblingcommission.gov.uk is.
Throughout the development and maintenance of this service, manual testing by the Gambling Commission Digital team takes place. We also test this service using Lighthouse 10.1.1 accessibility checking software and different devices including mobiles, tablets and desktop computers.
